Contents

Dashboard content is divided into individual dashparts that can be easily managed. A dashpart is a chart or table that provides visual indicators of your project's key information, enabling you to track how your project is trending and identify any areas that might need attention. These dashparts provide access to specific hub records and activities. In this way, you can access any dashpart without affecting other dashparts. The standard dashparts include Opportunities, My Activities, a Pipeline chart, and an Upcoming Milestones chart. In addition to these standard dashparts, your administrator can create and edit other pre-defined dashparts and dashboards.

Hub Dashparts

Hub dashparts provide access to specific hub records and activities.

Field Description
Upcoming Milestone Dashpart The milestone timeline displays your upcoming milestones across all your opportunities. Use the next and previous paging arrows to view additional milestones. Click a milestone date point on the timeline to display an info bubble that provides detailed information about the milestone associated with an opportunity.
Opportunities Dashpart Use the Opportunities dashpart to filter your opportunities list, select an existing search, or create a new custom search for those opportunities that you consider most relevant. To the right of Opportunities, click to select a filtering option (Active or Mine) or an existing search from the drop down list. To search for all Opportunities, click Custom to create a new search for finding the most relevant opportunities. Click for each item to view additional details. If you have access to other hub-specific dashparts, the Opportunities dashpart is located on the CRM dashboard tab.
My Activities Dashpart The My Activities dashpart displays a list of all your activities. You can filter the list to view Today, Upcoming, or All activities. Your activities appear in the list in descending order with the one scheduled soonest at the top followed by all future activities. To mark activities complete, click the completed checkbox. If you choose to hide completed activities, each completed activity falls off your list.
Pipeline Dashboard

Use the controls above the Pipeline chart to select the dimension by which you analyze the pipeline revenue (for example, by department or by employee), the time frame for the revenue amounts, and the opportunities that are included.

The Pipeline Dashboard is represented as a bar chart that displays estimated and weighted revenue for a set of opportunities that you select. You can break down the revenue on the chart based on any of a number of opportunity dimensions (for example, by client, by market, or by stage). Use the three drop-down lists above the Pipeline chart to filter the opportunities and to select the coordinates (x and y axes). Click and make your selection for each of the following:

  • Opportunities search filter: to filter the opportunities that are included in the pipeline.
  • Dimension Type (x axis): to plot the dimension by which you analyze the pipeline revenue for the opportunities.
  • Time Frame (y axis): to plot the time frame for the revenue amounts that are related to the opportunities.

If you have access to other hub-specific dashparts, the Pipeline dashboard is located on the CRM dashboard tab. Additionally, if you have access to the Resource Planning application, the Upcoming Generic Assignments dashpart is also available.

Dashboard Tabs

Your administrator can deliver additional user-defined and hub-specific dashboards to track records and business information. These tabs are available based upon your user role and appear as tabs either on your Dashboard form or on selected Hub forms. The following examples of dashboard tabs are available depending upon your role and access to applications:
  • User-defined: Displays user-defined dashparts and dashboards related to your projects, opportunities, and other information that you are tracking for your business.
  • Project Hub: Displays information related to project, labor, and expense costs on the Projects Hub.
  • Resource Planning: Displays a summary about upcoming generic assignments that managers use to assign specific resources to projects. The Upcoming Generic Assignments dashpart appears in Project View of the Resource Planning application, where project managers can add resource assignments, set plan dates, and make reassignments and schedule changes as needed.
