Marketing Campaigns Opportunities & Projects Tab

You can use the Opportunities & Projects tab to track any opportunities and projects that are associated with the campaign.

This may include new opportunities and/or projects, as well as opportunities that were learned about as part of a campaign or that were added as part of the qualification process. This information allows marketing to gauge the overall effectiveness of the campaign.

Note that if the campaign's Status is Inactive, Dormant, or Terminated, the Inactive Contact dialog box displays when you attempt to associate a project or opportunity record. Use this dialog box to change the status to Active if needed.

Much of the information for DPS is entered and displayed in grids on various forms. For information about using grids, see Working with Grids.

Opportunity Grid

Use the Opportunities grid to associate one or more opportunities with a marketing campaign. You associate an opportunity record with a marketing campaign record when you add it to the Opportunities grid. Both records reflect the association.

If the opportunity record that you want to enter does not yet exist in your database, you can click the +Add Opportunity link to create a new record.

Field Description
Opportunity Name Select the opportunity that you want to associate with the marketing campaign record. DPS creates a hyperlink between the opportunity name and the corresponding record in the Opportunities hub. You can then click the opportunity name in this field to open the Opportunities hub.
Stage Select a stage, such as Awarded or Pending, for the opportunity. You can configure DPS to alert applicable staff members at your firm when the status of an opportunity changes.
Open Date This field displays the date on which you identified the opportunity and began pursuing the job.

Project Grid

Use the Projects grid to keep track of the projects awarded to your firm as a result of the marketing campaign. You associate a project record with a marketing campaign record when you add it to the Projects grid. Both records reflect the association.

If the project record that you want to enter does not yet exist in your database, you can click the +Add Project link to create a new record.

Field Description
Project Name Select the project that you want to associate with the marketing campaign record. DPS creates a hyperlink between the project name and the corresponding record in the Projects hub. You can then click the project name in this field to open the Project hub.
Primary Firm This field displays the name of the primary firm that is associated with the selected project. DPS creates a hyperlink between the primary firm and the corresponding record in the Firms hub. You can then click the primary firm in this field to open the Firms hub.
Primary Contact This field displays the primary contact that is associated with the selected project. DPS creates a hyperlink between the primary contact name and the corresponding record in the Contacts hub. It also adds the Primary Contact's name and related information to the Teams tab in the Projects hub.
