Define Proposal Properties

When you create a new proposal, you can specify the default properties for the proposal, including the title, dates, associated records, and related notes. You can also update an existing proposal's default properties, if needed.

This option displays if your enterprise uses CRM Plus.

To define proposal properties:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to Proposals > Custom Proposals and create a new proposal or open an existing proposal.
    • If you create a new proposal, you enter the properties on the New Proposal dialog box.
    • If you open an existing proposal, click the Proposal Properties link on the toolbar.
  2. Enter the proposal name. This becomes the proposal header on the Title page.
  3. Enter the proposal identification number.
  4. Select the project that is associated with the proposal. The projects available for selection have a Stage that is set to In Pursuit. Projects with stages set to Won, Lost, or Do Not Pursue are not available for selection.
  5. Enter the general proposal properties: Due Date, Client, Organization, and Proposal Manager.
  6. Click Show Additional Properties to specify any additional proposal properties (Source, Status, Fee, Type, and so on). This link toggles to display Show/Hide Additional Properties, which you can click to show or hide the fields as needed.
  7. On the Actions bar, click Save to save the proposal.
