DRAFT - Create a New Proposal from a Project Record - FINISH when sprint is complete
While working in the Projects hub, you can create a proposal directly from the Proposals tab on the Projects form. This populates the new proposal with project information and allows you to add records from the project as well as specify a template to apply.
Default the proposal properties from the in pursuit project, select a template, and add the records from the project (e.g., add the employees to an employee section in the template).
From Proposals grid and Actions menu, go to Proposals.To create a new proposal from a project:
- On the Projects form of the Projects hub, create a new project or open an existing project, and select the Proposals tab.
- Click +Add Proposal. The Custom Proposals application opens and displays the New Proposal dialog box.
- Enter the general proposal properties: Name (required), Number, Project, and Due Date. The projects that are available for selection have a Stage that is set to In Pursuit in the Projects hub.
- Click Show Additional Properties to specify any additional proposal properties (Client, Organization, Source, and so on).
- If you want to use a pre-formatted or previously saved template as the basis to format the proposal, select the template to apply.
- Click Continue to save the proposal and launch the proposal builder. The proposal builder opens with two pages, a cover page and a blank second page. The cover page displays listing the Name of the proposal and Prepared for [client name] below it. The second page is blank.

Begin building the proposal in the Custom Proposals application.
- Define properties for the proposal. These apply as the proposal's default settings.
- Use the proposal builder to insert elements on the proposal, including text boxes, images, and so on.
- Insert hub records and associated grids.
- Add section breaks and pages.
- Save the record layout as draft.
- Merge and finalize the records.
