Export a Proposal

After generating a proposal, you can export it in an Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) or other file type and save it for reuse (printing, emailing, and so on).

This option displays if your enterprise uses CRM Plus.

To export a proposal:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the Proposals section and select Custom Proposals.
  2. On the Proposals grid, select a proposal and click Options > Export, or open the proposal and select Other Actions > Export Proposal. The exported file opens in your browser. Your browser settings determine how the file is opened. For example, if the file is exported as a PDF, it will open in a browser tab or in Adobe Acrobat.

If some records have not been finalized, you will be prompted to finalize them in the Export to PDF dialog box. This is not required, but if you choose not to finalize, the draft records will be changed as the record changes. For example, if a project description is updated in the Projects hub, that updated description will be included in a proposal if it is still a draft record.

Draft records are useful for proposals that are sent to team members for review, but it is recommended to finalize all records when sending a proposal to a client so the proposal content does not change after it has been sent.

  3. Save the file and share with clients.
