Field Description
Launch - End Date Select the start date for the marketing campaign launch and the date the marketing campaign is expected to end.

Select the marketing campaign's status.

  • A campaign with an Active status (green) is currently in use.
  • A campaign with an Inactive status (gray) is currently not in use and does not display in the marketing campaign lookup lists.

Select the stage of the marketing campaign (for example, Pending, Awarded, or Lost).

You can update the stage as the marketing campaign moves through the cycle. To change the stage, select a new value from the drop-down list.

Type Select the type of marketing campaign, such as Webcast or Tradeshow.
Audience Select the market segment to which the marketing campaign is directed, such as CFOs, Marketing and Sales, or Project Managers.
Objective Select the goal of the marketing campaign.
Currency This field displays if Deltek is set up to use multiple currencies. This drop-down list displays all of the currencies that are enabled in your database. Select the currency for the marketing campaign. The actual and potential revenue will be calculated in this currency.
Exchange Rate Date This field displays if Deltek is set up to use multiple currencies. Select the date on which the actual and potential revenue should be translated into the selected currency.

If the campaign has any associated opportunities or projects with a different currency than the campaign, the Exchange Rate Date field is required.

Goals Use these fields to view a comparison of the actual revenue from projects that are won as a result of the campaign. This is useful for understanding the effectiveness of a campaign. If you use multiple currencies, these amounts are translated to the marketing campaign's currency using the date that is defined in the Exchange Rate Date field.
Revenue Goal Enter the amount of revenue your firm seeks to generate from the marketing campaign.
Actual Revenue
This field's functionality depends on the use of the Accounting application:
  • If you use Accounting, Actual Revenue is a calculated field that sums the Compensations fields for all projects that are associated with the campaign.
  • If you do not use Accounting, you can enter a dollar amount for the actual revenue directly in this field.
Potential Revenue This field is automatically calculated to display the sum of the estimated revenue (not weighted revenue) of all Active opportunities that are associated with the campaign.

This does not Include inactive opportunities because they were either won and included in the actual cost, or they were lost or not pursued.

Budget Enter the total amount budgeted for the campaign.
Actual Costs Enter the total cost of labor and expenses that are associated with the marketing campaign.
Results These fields display the response statistics for the campaign. For example, you can review the number of responses received, how many marketing campaigns actually became opportunities or projects, etc.
