Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Creating a New Connection in TOAD

Use this procedure to create a new connection in TOAD:

To create a new connection:

  1. In TOAD for Oracle, click Session > New Connection.
  2. On the Edit Login Record dialog box, enter the following credentials:
    • Username
    • Password
  3. On the Select Direct tab, perform the following actions:
    • Host: Enter server.
    • Port: Enter 1521.
    • Service Name: Enter database name.
  4. When prompted, enter the password.
