  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Costpoint 8.0.14 Now Available with TE/CP Data Cleanup Toolkit

As part of our continued commitment to deliver real-time data integration between Time and Expense (T&E) and the other Costpoint domains, our T&E enhancements in the 8.1 release now look directly at the appropriate Costpoint domain for the key data elements. These changes may require you to clean up data discrepancies prior to upgrading to 8.1 to ensure a smooth upgrade.

Based on how your organization used T&E and Costpoint while they were separate sets of data, there may be several data discrepancies between T&E and the source records in the appropriate Costpoint domains that need to be addressed prior to upgrading to the 8.1 release.

These data discrepancies are classified into two types:

  1. Major Discrepancy - Records that exist only in the T&E data schema (not in Costpoint)
  2. Minor Discrepancy - Records that have different values between T&E and Costpoint (i.e., Active status, Description)

In preparation for the 8.1 upgrade, we have released a Data Cleanup Toolkit Utility in version 8.0.14, available now. It is located Time & Expense>Configuration>Utilities> CP/TE Diagnostics Toolkit.

This utility identifies all data discrepancies that exist and makes it easy to fix the minor discrepancies, as well as provide the list of major discrepancies. Once the data has been cleaned up, you need to run the utility again, to validate that no records are identified with discrepancies.

The data cleanup needs to be done in all of your system's databases. For additional information about each data discrepancy type and the available cleanup options, please read KB Article # 106020 .

Latest Mobile Time and Expense Release - 2.1

Please refer to the following KB after upgrading to Costpoint 8, and before entering timesheets. A full export (uncheck Changes Since Last Download in the Export Data to Deltek Time & Expense screen) is required from Costpoint to update links in Time and Expense.

Update to Costpoint Business Intelligence (BI)

An update has been applied to address the current timeout issues encountered when working in Costpoint BI (formerly CER). The following icon appears when using BI:

When hovering over this icon, the message "You are logged into Costpoint BI" displays. So as long as you are actively working in Costpoint BI, you will not be logged out of Costpoint with a timeout message.
