Cloud System Name
In order for your cloud solution to be activated, you must provide the Cloud System Name that you wish to use.
In most cases, the Cloud System Name you provide is your company name or an abbreviation of your company name. The Cloud System Name is requested by Deltek during the sales process. Your Deltek sales representative should ask you for this information and include it on Deltek's Opportunity record. Your cloud activation may be delayed if the Cloud System Name is not provided.
The Cloud System Name will be incorporated into the url used to access your Costpoint solution. In the example below, the Cloud System Name you provide will replace customer in the URL:
- Production Environment: https://cp- customer .prd.mydeltekgcc.com/cpweb
- Non Production Environment: https://cp- customer -tst.npr.mydeltekgcc.com/cpweb
The Cloud System Name you provide is also incorporated into your Costpoint System Name. Users logging into Costpoint are required enter a Costpoint System Name on the login screen.
The Cloud System Name you provide is incorporated into your Costpoint System Names as follows. A long or complex Costpoint System Name may frustrate users who have to enter it during login.
In this example, assume that you provided Regent as your Cloud System Name. Deltek will build the Costpoint System Names as follows:
- REGENT: System name for the Costpoint Production database
- REGENTCONFIG: System name for the Costpoint Implementation database
- REGENTSBOX: System name for the Costpoint Sandbox database
- REGENTWIC: System name for the Costpoint databaseprovide for WIC
