Application Lifecycle (Updates to Costpoint)

Deltek follows a published schedule for applying application (Costpoint, BI, Mobile) updates to your cloud solution.

Deltek applies Costpoint Quarterly Releases to a customer's Non-Production and Development Environments typically two weeks prior to applying the major or point release update to the customer's Production Environment. Customers that participate within the Release Validation Program will see the Quarterly Release weeks prior to it being deployed within Development and Non-Production systems.

It is the customer's responsibility to begin their regression testing of the new release as soon as their Non-Production and Development Environments are updated to the next Quarterly Release and complete this testing prior to their scheduled Production Environment update. The customer should communicate to Deltek any defects/bugs found during this testing period. Customers are also expected to familiarize and train their employees on the new features included in the Quarterly Release during the time when their Non-Production and Development Environments have been updated ahead of the Production Environment. For Opt-In features, customers will have until the next Quarterly Release to test the new feature and report any defects/bugs that occur once you enable these features.

During the period when the Non-Production and Development Environments are updated to the new Quarterly Release, customers cannot execute a database refresh to or from their Production Environment. This is because the Production Environment is running the older release. Additionally, Customers that promote new development packages (extensions, web services) from their upgraded Non-Production environment into Production, do so at their own risk. SaaS Developers need to be made aware of the maintenance schedule and plan their development projects accordingly.

Deltek will apply Costpoint Hotfixes on a monthly basis to the customer's Production, Non-Production and Development Environments during the Application Maintenance windows as needed.
