Prerequisites

Before you can access the Command Center, verify that the following prerequisites are met.

General Access

  • You are using the new user interface (UI).
  • You are assigned the appropriate module rights, BI capability groups, and Command Center user groups.
  • On the Manage Current Reporting Period screen, it is recommended to set the Update Mode to MANUAL rather than AUTO.
  • For on-premises Costpoint users, you must have Costpoint BI 2025.3 or higher installed (with IBM Cognos Analytics 12.0.4 or higher) and the Customer Authentication Provider (CAP) deployed to use the Command Center. Check the BI version on the lower-right corner of the BI Welcome Screen and the Cognos version in Business Intelligence  > Personal menu > About.

Project Analyst Dashboard Prerequisites

  • You are assigned to the CC__PROJ_ANALYST user group.
  • The Project Analyst dashboard tabs use data from the PSR and Unbilled Analysis tables. These tables should be created for the BI reporting period that you have set. Use the Update Project Status Report Tables and Create Unbilled Analysis Report Tables applications. Optionally, you can also run the Update Pending Report Tables application to include estimated revenue from unposted transactions on the dashboard.
  • You are assigned a project role to view dashboard tabs. The BI checkbox on the Manage Functional Roles screen must also be selected for functional roles.
  • Top-level projects are classified as Direct, Inter-Company, or Inter-Co Multi on the Manage Project User Flow screen.
  • Top-level projects are marked Active on the Manage Project User Flow screen.

Accountant Dashboard Prerequisites

  • You are assigned to the CC__ACCOUNTANT user group.
  • The Create General Ledger Report Tables application must be run for the corresponding BI reporting period.
  • Dashboard access depends on the user's BI org security settings. If the Enable Costpoint Organization Security checkbox is selected on the Manage BI Settings screen, administrators must ensure that the user's org security group is set properly.
