Document Type Tab

Use the Document Type tab to add and manage digital document types.

Identification

Use this group box to name and describe a new document type.

If you use query.gif to search for a single document type, this group box displays that content type's identification code and description.

If you use query.gif to search for multiple document types, the block displays in table view.

Field Description
Document Type ID Use this field to enter a unique ID for this document type.
Document Type Name Use this field to enter a name for the document type.

Document Management

Use this group box to specify the parameters for the document type.

Field Description
Active Select this check box to enable the use of digital signatures for this document type in all applications where this document type is assigned.
Enforce Signature Attestation via User Certificate For maximum legal enforcement, select this check box to allow only the Costpoint users who were assigned a digital certificate the ability to digitally sign this document type.
The digital certificate that is issued by a trusted company verifies and certifies the Costpoint user's identity and ties their FIDO key to the company, extending the digital signature and digital chain of responsibility from the employee to the employer..
Document Type Source This field displays the document type source as System or User. System indicates that the document type is supplied by Deltek. User indicates that the document types are user-defined. When you add a new document type, User is displayed.
Description Use this field to enter a description for the document type.
Legal Text Enter the text that will display when a user digitally signs the document type.
