Item Billing

What can I do in this subtask?

Use this non-editable subtask to view price catalog information for items selected from the query results. Data found here was originally entered for items in the Price Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs).

This screen has three subtasks: Product Price, Product Cost, and Product Warranty Cost.

If a selected item is not slated to be sold outside of the company, then the fields in this subtask will be blank and the subtasks inaccessible.

When should I use this subtask?

Use this subtask whenever necessary to view billing information for items to be sold outside the company.

Field Descriptions

These display-only, non-editable fields default from the selected record line in the table window of the main screen.

Item

This field displays the item ID of the selected item.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the selected item.

U/M

This field displays the U/M (unit of measure) associated with the selected item.

Make/Buy

This field displays whether the item is "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy).

Active

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) for the active status of this item.

 

The fields in the form view are display-only and non-editable. Data found here was originally entered for items in the Product Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs).

Catalog

This field displays the code of the catalog in which the item appears. The catalog's description displays in the adjacent field to the right.

Selling U/M

This field displays the selling U/M (unit of measure) for this item.

Internal Warranty

This field displays the internal warranty code assigned to the price catalog in the Warranty Information subtask of the Price Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs). The description will display in the adjacent field to the right.

The internal warranty is the warranty offered by your company as the reseller of the item.

External Warranty

This field displays the external warranty code you assigned to the price catalog in the Warranty Information subtask of the Price Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs). The description will display in the adjacent field to the right.

The external warranty is the warranty offered by the original manufacturer of the item.

Cost of Goods Sold

Calculation Method

This field displays the calculation method used to determine the cost of goods.

One of two system-defined calculation methods will display here: "Percentage of Sales" or "Cost Schedule."

You assign this calculation method in the Cost Information subtask of the Price Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs).

Percentage of Sales

This field displays the percentage of sales used to compute the cost of goods for the Calculation Method "Percentage of Sales."

If the Calculation Method is "Cost Schedule," the value in this field will read "0.00%."

Warranty Costs

Calculation Method

This field displays the calculation method used to determine the warranty cost.

One of two system-defined calculation methods will display here: "Percentage of Sales" or "Cost Schedule."

You assign this calculation method in the Warranty Information subtask of the Price Catalogs Items screen (Materials\Maintain\Price Catalogs).

Percentage of Sales

This field displays the percentage of sales used to compute warranty costs for the Calculation Method "Percentage of Sales."

If the Calculation Method is "Cost Schedule," the value in this field will read "0.00%."

Product Price

Use the Product Price subtask to view product pricing information for items selected from the query results.

Product Cost

Use the Product Cost subtask to view unit price information for items selected from the query results within an applicable range of dates.

Product Warranty Cost

Use the Product Warranty Cost subtask to view the cost information for product warranties applied to items selected from the query results.

Table Information

The PRICE_CATLG (Price Catalog) and PROD_PRICE_CATLG (Product Price Catalog) tables are source tables whose data is evaluated as you access this subtask.
