Cost Information

What can I do in this subtask?

Use this subtask to store information used to calculate the cost of goods sold for a given item. You can also define the unit cost information by date range.

When should I use this subtask?

You can use this subtask to add cost records, as needed.

Field Descriptions

Calculate Cost of Goods Sold based on

Percentage of Sales

Select this radio button to calculate the cost of goods based on the percentage of sales.

Cost Schedule

Select this radio button to calculate the cost of goods based on the cost schedule. If you select this radio button, you must enter at least one record in the Cost Information table window.

Enter Percentage of sales to calculate cost of goods sold

If you selected the Percentage of Sales radio button, enter the percentage used to calculate the cost of goods sold. If you selected the Cost Schedule radio button, this field will be non-editable.

Cost Information

From Quantity *

Enter the starting quantity for this price range. The default value is "0.0001" but can be changed, as needed.

To Quantity *

Enter the ending quantity for this price range. The default value is "9999999999.9999" but can be changed, as needed.

Unit Cost In Functional Currency *

Enter the unit cost for the item and the quantity range.

Starting Date *

Enter, or use Calendar Lookup to select, the starting date on which this price will become effective. This date represents the starting date on which this unit price should be charged.

Ending Date *

Enter, or use Calendar Lookup to select, the ending date on which this price will become obsolete. This date represents the ending date on which this unit price charge will become ineffective.
