Use this screen to assign module and function rights to users by company. These rights override the group module and function rights. If no user module and function rights are assigned to a user, then the group settings will be in effect for that user.
The modules are listed in the order in which they appear on the Navigate screen.
Enter information in this screen whenever you want a user's rights to differ from the user's group rights.
Enter, or use to select, a User ID to whom you wish to assign module and/or function rights that are different than the User Group to which they belong for this company. The user name displays in the untitled field to the right.
You can also use or to select a user.
The user's group ID and group name are displayed in these non-editable fields.
The ID of every Costpoint module is displayed in this non-editable column.
The name of every Costpoint module is displayed in this non-editable column.
The group module rights settings are displayed in this non-editable column.
Enter the user's rights to this module or accept the group default.
Select F to give the user full rights to this module.
Select N to give the user no rights.
Select O to give the user optimistic partial rights if the user is to have full rights for the entire module, except for those function rights specified in the Select Functions subtask.
Select P to give the user partial rights if the user is to have rights only for those functions specified in the Select Functions subtask.
Select R to give the user read-only rights.
When you set up a new user, the rights to all modules default to N. When Deltek adds new modules to Costpoint during version upgrades, the new modules default to N.
This non-editable field only displays if you also have Costpoint Web enabled and if the Enforce Segregation of Duties Rules checkbox is selected in the Corporate Settings subtask of the System Settings screen in the web version. One of the following status statements populates the field:
System Approved - The system has verified that there are no segregation of duties conflicts for this right
In Conflict - The system has determined that one or more segregation of duties conflicts exist for this right. The rights cannot be used unless manually overridden using the Override Segregation of Duties Conflicts application in the web version of Costpoint.
Delete Conflict - An attempt to delete this right has failed, since deleting the rights record would cause one or more segregation of duties conflicts.
Manually Approved - The system has determined that one or more segregation of duties conflicts exist for this right, but the conflicts have been manually overridden.
Pending - An assigned right has yet to be checked for segregation of duties conflicts. The Identify Segregation of Duties Conflicts process must be run in the web version of Costpoint before this assigned right can be used.
Delete Requested - An attempt to delete this right must be checked for segregation of duties conflicts. The Identify Segregation of Duties Conflicts process must be run in the web version of Costpoint before this assigned right can be deleted.
Click this button to open the Select Functions subtask, which you can use to give users the right to execute Costpoint functions when the user has override rights of "P" (Partial) or "O" (Optimistic partial) for this module.
