Use this subtask to give or deny users the right to execute particular functions within a module. If you select P in the Module Rights field in the main screen, the user has rights only to the functions selected in this subtask. If you select O in the Module Rights field in the main screen, the user has rights to all functions except those selected in this subtask.
The ID and name of the current user display in these non-editable fields.
The name of the current module displays in this non-editable field.
This table identifies the Costpoint functions for the current module that the user is not authorized to execute using partial rights, but is authorized to execute using optimistic rights. For new users, this table is initialized with all the Costpoint functions for the current module. As you select functions, they are removed from this table and placed in the Authorized Functions for this User table.
You can authorize any number of functions for a user. To select one function at a time, either highlight it by clicking on it once and then choose the Select button or double-click on the function. To select more than one at a time, hold the mouse button down and move the pointer until more than one row is highlighted. Then use the Select button.

This non-editable field displays the function ID in both tables.
This non-editable field displays the name of the function in both tables.
This field displays only in the Authorized Functions for this Group table. This field indicates the group rights for this function, F (Full), R (Read-only), or N (No rights).
If you set the Module Rights for this group to P (Partial rights) on the main screen, this field defaults to F (Full rights). If you set the Module Rights for this group to O (Optimistic partial rights) on the main screen, this field defaults to N (No rights). In both cases, the default can be changed.
This non-editable field only displays if you also have Costpoint Web enabled and if the Enforce Segregation of Duties Rules check box is selected in the Corporate Settings subtask of the System Settings (Administration » Configure » System) screen in the Web version. One of the following status statements populates the field:
System Approved - The system has verified that there are no segregation of duties conflicts for this right
In Conflict - The system has determined that one or more segregation of duties conflicts exist for this right. The rights cannot be used unless manually overridden using the Override Segregation of Duties Conflicts application in the Web version of Costpoint.
Delete Conflict - An attempt to delete this right has failed, since deleting the rights record would cause one or more segregation of duties conflicts.
Manually Approved - The system has determined that one or more segregation of duties conflicts exist for this right, but the conflicts have been manually overridden.
Pending - An assigned right has yet to be checked for segregation of duties conflicts. The Identify Segregation of Duties Conflicts process must be run in the Web version of Costpoint before this assigned right can be used.
Delete Requested - An attempt to delete this right must be checked for segregation of duties conflicts. The Identify Segregation of Duties Conflicts process must be run in the Web version of Costpoint before this assigned right can be deleted.
