INVENTORY TRANSACTION HISTORY INQUIRY

Use this screen to view all inventory transactions for a specified part without having to print a report. To view inventory transactions for a specific warehouse location, project, or inventory abbreviation, select the Subquery button on the toolbar. Be sure to include selection criteria for both the "from" and the "to" warehouse, location, project, or inventory abbreviation to get all related transactions.

Use this screen whenever you need to review transaction information for a given part.

Part

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part ID.

Rev

The last revision assigned to the part ID selected is displayed in this field. However, you can enter, or use Lookup to select, another revision that exists for this part ID.

U/M

This field displays the inventory unit of measure for the selected part.

Make/Buy

This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the selected part.

Project

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part project ID whose inventory transaction history you want to view.

Inv Abbrev

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part inventory abbreviation for whose inventory transaction history you want to view.

Warehouse

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part warehouse whose inventory transaction history you want to view.

Location

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part warehouse location whose inventory transaction history you want to view.

Trans Type

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the transaction type for the part whose inventory transaction history you want to view.

Table Window

This table displays summary level transaction line detail information. Detail information is available in the Transaction Detail subtask. To inquire at a more detailed level, select the line for which you want additional information, then select the appropriate pushbutton to expand the inquiry accordingly. You may also double-click on a specific line to go straight to the Transaction Detail subtask.

Trans Type

This column displays the transaction type for the selected transaction line. The available transaction types are as follows:

Transaction

This column displays the transaction ID for the selected transaction line.

Trans Line No

This column displays the transaction line number for the selected transaction line.

Part

This column displays the part ID.

Rev

This column displays the revision number for the selected part.

Trans Date

This column displays the transaction date for the selected transaction line.

Trans Qty

This column displays the quantity involved in the selected transaction line. A negative quantity usually means that the inventory was reduced by this amount (except for negative issues, which add to inventory).

Unit Cost

This column displays the unit cost for the selected transaction line. This field is not displayed if Cost Suppression is active (the Suppress Cost checkbox is selected in the table window of the Maintain Users screen in Costpoint System Administration).

Ext Amount

This column displays the Trans Qty multiplied by the Unit Cost for the selected transaction line. This field is not displayed if Cost Suppression is active (the Suppress Cost checkbox is selected in the table window of the Maintain Users screen in Costpoint System Administration).

Order

This column displays the order ID for the selected transaction line.

From Project

This column displays the project associated with the part for the selected transaction.

From Inv Abbrev

This column displays the inventory abbreviation from which the inventory was taken.

From Whse

This column displays the warehouse from which the inventory was taken.

From Location

This column displays the warehouse location from which the inventory was taken.

Charge To Project

This column displays the project to which the transaction was charged.

Charge To Inv Abbrev

This column displays the inventory abbreviation to which the transaction was charged.

To Whse

This column displays the warehouse to which the inventory was moved.

To Location

This column displays the warehouse location to which the inventory was moved.

Charge To Account

This column displays the account to which the selected transaction was charged.

Charge To Org

This column displays the organization to which the selected transaction was charged.

Entry Date/Time

This column displays the date and time the inventory transaction was entered.

Reservation

This column displays the reservation ID that the transaction consumes.

Notes

Select this pushbutton to open the Notes subtask, which displays free-form text associated with a selected transaction line.

Trans Detail

Select this pushbutton to open the Transaction Detail subtask for the selected transaction line.

Usage Summary

Select this pushbutton to open the Usage Summary subtask for the selected part and inventory abbreviation.

Cost Elements

Select this pushbutton to open the Cost Detail subtask for the selected transaction line. If Cost Suppression is active (the Suppress Cost checkbox is selected in the table window of the Maintain Users screen in Costpoint System Administration), this subtask is disabled.

Serial/Lot Info

Select this pushbutton to view serial/lot information for the selected inventory transaction line.

Table Information

Changes to this screen update the following tables: BOM_CONFIG, EMPL, INVT, INVT_ABBRV_CD, INVT_TRN, INVT_TRN_LN, INVT_TRN_LN_SR_LT, INVT_WHS_LOC_SR_LT, ITEM, MANUF, MO_SERIAL_LOT, PART, PART_PROJ, PO_HDR, PO_LN, PROJ, ROUTING_HDR, S_CST_MTHD_CD, S_INVT_TRN_TYPE, S_LOC_TYPE, S_ORD_POLICY_TYPE, S_PLAN_TYPE, SERIAL_LOT, SO_ISS_SERIAL_LOT, SO_LN, USER_ID, VEND, WARRANTY, WHSE_LOC.

This screen also relies on the settings in the INVT_SETTINGS and ITEM_SETTINGS_CORP tables.
