SERIAL/LOT SETTINGS

Use this screen to define control settings for the operation of the serial/lot tracking portion of Costpoint Inventory. You can enter and report serial numbers of parts delivered on a customer order and/or parts tracked in inventory.  You can record serial numbers only for parts that are flagged as requiring SO Configuration Tracking in the screens in the Part Master (Materials » Product Definition » Part Master) menu, or in the Serial/Lot Disposition subtask of the Enter Sales Order Inventory Issues (Materials » Inventory » Issues) screen. You can maintain the Enter Sales Order Inventory Issues screen in both Costpoint Sales Order Entry (Materials » Sales Order Entry » Sales Order Material Processing) and Costpoint Inventory.

Set up this screen when initializing the system and before processing inventory transactions, and maintain it whenever you need to change serial/lot settings.

Settings that are changed and saved in this screen default to the Serial/Lot Settings (Materials » Sales Order Entry » Sales Order Entry Controls) screen and can be maintained in either screen.
