Use this screen to identify different functional groups within a company that may be affected by an Engineering Change Notice. You can define these groups, link users or Costpoint Workflow roles and employees to each of these groups, and indicate whether these users should be notified via Costpoint Workflow at various points during the ECN process.
Once you have set up impacted groups in this screen, you can link them to types of engineering changes in the EC Types screen. The impacted groups will then default into any new ECN that has been assigned that engineering change type. You can then modify the list of impacted groups for that specific ECN.
If you want to use impacted groups to notify users via Costpoint Workflow, you must either link the users to Workflow roles, which are lists of users maintained in Costpoint Workflow, or set up a list of Costpoint users in the Impacted Group Users subtask. You cannot do both.
Set up this screen after establishing the controls and defaults in the EC Settings screen and before creating ECNs. Maintain this screen whenever necessary.
Enter up to 15 alphanumeric characters in this required field. The first character cannot be a space.
Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters in this required field.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the workflow role of this impacted functional group. This optional field can have up to 15 alphanumeric characters, which must be a valid workflow role.
Enter "Y" (Yes) if you want to have group users notified via Costpoint Workflow if an ECN is created. The default value is "N" (No).
Enter "Y" (Yes) if you want to have group users notified via Costpoint Workflow if an ECN is approved. The default value is "N" (No).
Enter "Y" (Yes) if you want to have group users notified via Costpoint Workflow if an ECN is flagged as customer approved. The default value is "N" (No).
Enter "Y" (Yes) if you want to have group users notified via Costpoint Workflow if an ECN is implemented. The default value is "N" (No).
Enter "Y" (Yes) if you want to have group users notified via Costpoint Workflow if an ECN is rejected. The default value is "N" (No).
Select this pushbutton to open the Impacted Group Users subtask and assign users to the group.
