INVOICE DETAIL

Use this non-editable subtask to see the detail of the invoice in relation to the posting of the bills and the cash receipts.

 Timing

You can view invoice detail at any time. On the main screen, highlight the table window line containing the customer invoice for which you would like to see detail and select the Invoice Detail button.

Invoice Number

This non-editable field displays the invoice number entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Customer Account

These fields display the customer account and description from the main screen.

Project

These fields display the project number and description from the main screen.

A/R Invoice Summary

Invoice Date

This non-editable field displays the invoice date entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Due Date

This non-editable field displays the invoice due date entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Invoice Amount

This non-editable field displays the invoice amount entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Discount Amount

This non-editable field displays the discount amount entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Disc Taken

This non-editable field displays the discount taken entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Amount Received

This non-editable field displays the amount received entered for this transaction in the Maintain A/R History screen.

Liquidation Amt

This field displays the total calculated amount of progress payments liquidated against the delivery invoice. Liquidation amounts are progress payments that have been paid by the customer. They reduce the delivery amount to arrive at the net invoice amount. This field is used by delivery invoices for projects that bill using progress payments. It is updated when delivery invoices are posted from the Edit Project Product Bills screen in Costpoint Billing or by DD250 invoice postings from Costpoint Sales Order Entry.

Liqd Taken

This field initially displays a value that represents the liquidation taken when the cash is received. It should differ from the Liquidation Amt only when the payment of an invoice has been adjusted to reflect a different liquidation amount than invoiced. This field is used by delivery invoices for projects that bill using progress payments.

Balance Due

This non-editable field displays the balance due for this transaction stored in the Maintain A/R History screen. The system calculates this field by subtracting the Amount Received plus the Disc Taken from the Invoice Amount.

Table Window

Trans Date

This non-editable field displays the date on which the invoice was posted to the ledger.

Fiscal Year

This non-editable field displays the fiscal year in which the invoice was posted. The system uses this information when calculating and aging receivables.

Period

This non-editable field displays the period in which the invoice was posted. The system uses this information when calculating and aging receivables.

Subperiod

This non-editable field displays the subperiod in which the invoice was posted. The system uses this information when calculating and aging receivables.

Source

This non-editable field displays the two-character ID of the journal from which this record was posted. The system updates this information when billings and cash receipts are posted.

Posting Seq No.

This non-editable field displays the posting sequence of the journal from which this record was posted. The system updates this information when billings and cash receipts are posted.

Trans Curr

This field displays the abbreviation of the transaction currency. You can maintain the currency names in the Maintain Currencies screen in Costpoint Multicurrency.

Rate Group

This field displays the rate group code that is used for this customer's transactions. Rate groups identify the source of exchange rate data.

Invoice Date

For posted records, this non-editable field displays the original date for which the invoice was calculated. Please note that the due date, rather than the invoice date, is used when calculating days outstanding.

Invoice Amount

This non-editable field displays the total amount of the receivable, as posted to the system or as entered into the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Discount Amount

This non-editable field displays the original discount offered to the project for the invoice shown. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Amount Received

This non-editable field displays the amount of the payment received for this invoice. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Discount Taken

This non-editable field displays the discount taken by the client in payment of this invoice. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Receipt Date

This non-editable field displays the date you received payment for this invoice.

Adjustment Amt

This field displays the adjustment amount to be written off. The adjustment amount cannot be greater than the Balance Due amount.

Check Number

This non-editable field displays the check number of the cash receipt.

Transaction Description

This non-editable field displays the transaction description from the billing or cash receipts journal.

Receipt Number

This field displays the cash receipt number for the monies received.

Func Invoice Amount

This non-editable field displays, in your company's functional currency, the total amount of the receivable as posted to the system or as entered into the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Func Discount Amount

This non-editable field displays, in your company's functional currency, the original discount offered to the project/customer for the invoice shown. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Func Amount Received

This non-editable field displays, in your company's functional currency, the amount of the payment received for this invoice. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Func Discount Taken

This non-editable field displays, in your company's functional currency, the discount taken by the client in payment of this invoice. This column's total amount should match the amount stored in the Maintain A/R History screen for this transaction.

Func Adjustment Amt

This field displays the adjustment amount to be written off, expressed in terms of your company's functional currency. The functional adjustment amount cannot be greater than the Functional Balance Due amount.
