New Project Dialog Box

When you create a Project, ConceptShare asks you to specify the details of your Project. These details help you and other users identify and search for related files, as well as keep track of your Projects.

Field Description
Name This is the name of your Project. Use a unique name so you can easily identify your Project.
Description Enter a description to provide users with information about the purpose of your Project.
Tags Use tags for search and identification purposes. You can tag Projects with a specific term or client name and use these terms to perform searches in ConceptShare.
Note: Tags are space-sensitive. For example, Fall 2015 and Fall2015 are considered two different tags.
Start Date This refers to the date when the Project was started or will be started.
Due Date This refers to the date when the Project should be completed
Owner

A Project owner is responsible for ensuring the Project is completed on time. By default, the owner is the person creating the Project, or the person specified in the template. You can change this information by clicking the small "x" to the right of the name and entering the name of the new owner (required). ConceptShare automatically adds the Project owner as a resource on the Project with the role of Project Administrator.

Status This is the current status of the Project.
  • Not Started: This is the default setting.
  • In Progress: Use this status once work has begun on the Project.
  • Completed: Use this status once the Project is completed.
Phase Group and Phase Phase Groups and Phases help you track the progress of your Projects. An administrator can create custom groups and phases for your organization. Otherwise, this field will remain blank. For more information, see Statuses, Phases, and Phase Groups.
Important: Statuses, Phases, and Phase Groups are available only in the Enterprise Edition of ConceptShare.
Custom Forms Custom Forms allow organizations to gather information that is critical to their processes. An administrator can create custom forms for your organization. For more information, see Custom Forms.

Workflow (Deprecated Function) This option enables you to apply automated workflows to your Projects. Workflows are triggered if the status of a Project is set to In Progress. Important: Workflows are available only in the Enterprise Edition of ConceptShare.
