Graphic Markup Tools

Use the graphic markup tools to annotate and apply comments to assets. Tools may vary depending on the asset type that you launch in the Proofing Workspace.

The Draw Tool

Use the draw tool to draw on an asset.

Tool Option Description
Size You can use the slider to adjust the thickness of the drawing pencil.
Opacity You can use the slider to adjust the opacity of your drawing.
Pencil Color You can select a pencil color from the 20 options.

The Region Tool

Region Tool

Use the region tool to draw a rectangle on the section of the asset that you want to draw attention to or highlight for image cropping. You can adjust the size of the rectangle by dragging the corner handles.

The Callout Tool

Use the callout tool to draw an arrow on the section of an asset that you want to single out.

The Image Tool

Image Tool

Use the image tool to upload a reference asset from your machine into the Proofing Workspace. Adding a reference asset can visually support your comment. You can adjust the size of the reference asset by dragging the corner handles.

Tool Option Description
Opacity You can use the slider to adjust the opacity of the image.

The Reference Tool

Use the reference tool to draw attention to a section of an asset and link it to a second asset within the project, or to a URL. Draw a box on a section of the asset to indicate where the comment applies. You can adjust the size of the box by dragging the corner handles.

Tool Option Description
Name Specify a name for your asset reference.
Link to asset Use this option to link to an asset within the project.
Link to URL Use this option to link to a URL.

The Pan Tool

Pan Tool

Use the pan tool to select an existing markup and move, adjust, or delete it. You can also use this tool to move around the asset without inadvertently adding any markup.

The Delete Tool

Tool Description
Delete Tool

Use the delete tool to delete selected or active markups on the screen. Your markup is active if it is surrounded by a dotted box.
