West Virginia County Information for State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) Filings

Per legal compliance, you can now specify county information for 2023 West Virginia quarterly SUTA filings. West Virginia county information is reflected in the following:

• On the SUTA Options window of West Virginia, you can now use the County field to enter a county code when West Virginia is the SUTA state. To access the SUTA Options window, click Payroll System > Maintenance Programs > Employee Maintenance and enter a West Virginia employee option on the Employee Maintenance dialog box. And then, on the Taxes tab of the West Virginia employee window, click the 3-dot button on the Year SUTA section.
• When you print a State Unemployment Report output, county information is now included.
• When you create a magnetic media file, county information for positions 257-271 in the S record of the file is now included.

Also, when you use DEFAULT in the Employee field of the Employee Maintenance dialog box, the county field is also displayed on the SUTA Options window.
