Key Features

This section includes high-level descriptions of the key features of ComputerEase Field for this release.

Note: Access to functions of ComputerEase Field depends on your access rights as defined by your ComputerEase administrator. For details, contact your ComputerEase administrator.

Time

Use ComputerEase Field to capture the time spent on a job in real-time and applicable equipment usage. For time management, you can do the following:
  • Use a timer to automatically record time entries or manually add time entries
  • Use GPS tracking to automate time entries as you arrive at and depart from a job location
  • Specify date, hour, employee, description, and any applicable equipment usage in time entries
  • Sort, view and edit your time entries and of other employees where applicable
  • Sign and certify your time entries for a pay period

Expense

You can use ComputerEase Field to record and track your expenses. For expense tracking, you can do the following:
  • Use your mobile device's camera to capture pictures of receipts and automatically fill out fields for expense information
  • Manually enter date, purchase, amount and other information and so on for expenses
  • Use Quick Capture or Capture Expense to automatically fill the date, amount, and merchant fields
  • Sort, view, and edit your expenses
  • Submit your expenses for processing of ComputerEase

Job Locations

Use ComputerEase Field to create geofences for job locations. This enables geolocation time tracking for employees with compatible devices. After a job location's geofence is created, you can automate time tracking on your geolocation-compatible device when you arrive at or depart from a job location.

Job location geofences must be set in ComputerEase Field by completing the following:
  • Selecting a job location based on your mobile device location
  • Changing the lob location by dragging a pin to new location or searching an address for the new location

Settings

On ComputerEase Field, you can enable the following settings:
  • Language: Use this setting to change the language to English or Spanish. English is selected by default.
  • Use Device Authentication: Enable this setting to require device authentication to access the application. This setting is enabled by default.
  • Geolocation Tracking: Enable this setting to automate time tracking on your geolocation-compatible device when you arrive at or depart from a job location. When this setting is disabled, automation of time tracking is not allowed. This setting is enabled by default.
  • Auto Advance New Entries: Enable this setting to automate entry through fields when creating or editing a time entry or expense. When this setting is disabled, you need to manually navigate between fields to enter information. This setting is enabled by default.
  • Left Side Menu: Enable this setting to move the Menu button from the bottom right to the bottom left of ComputerEase Field. When this setting is disabled, the Menu button is located in the bottom right. This setting is disabled by default.
  • Default User Employee: Enable this setting to automatically enter the logged in user's employee code for all time entries. Disable this setting to manually enter an employee code for every time entry. This setting is enabled by default.
