This section includes enhancements in this release.
Kansas State Tax Table Updates
As of June 26, 2024, Kansas has made updates to rates, standard deductions, and exemptions. Updates include the following:
- Raised the standard deduction to $3,605 for single taxpayers, $6,180 for heads of households, and $8,240 for married taxpayers.
- Increased the $2,250 personal exemption to $18,320 for married taxpayers filing joint returns, $9,160 for other filers, and an additional $2,320 for each dependent listed on a taxpayer's return.
The legislation also replaced the three-bracket graduated personal income tax rate schedule with a two-bracket schedule. The Kansas personal income tax is applied at the rate of 5.2% on taxable income of:
- $0 to $46,000 for married taxpayers filing jointly (54240-8240).
- $0 to $23,000 for all other taxpayers (26605-3605).
The rate is 5.58% on taxable income of:
- $46,001 or more for married taxpayers filing jointly.
- $23,001 or more for all other taxpayers.
All of the changes take effect beginning with the 2024 tax year.
Arkansas State Tax Table Updates
Arkansas has made updates to rates. Updates include the following:
- The highest rate decreased to 3.9% and the tax brackets have been adjusted.
- The supplemental withholding rate decreased to 3.9%.
Nevada SUTA Eletronic Filing Update
An updated Nevada State Wage Record (RS32WAGE) with document revision date of June 2024 has been posted. Based on the updated file format, the out-of-state information will now be reported in the RS record, position 360-373. This can be generated from
