Add Time Screen
Use this screen to add a timesheet entry.
The available fields depend on the selected type configuration.
| Field | Description |

| Type | This is the only field displayed when adding a new timesheet entry.
Tapping an option reveals the relevant fields for the selected item type
configuration. Select one of the following item types:
Note: If you select
an
Overhead item (such as
Holiday,
Meeting,
Paid Medical Leave,
Sick, and
Vacation), you do not need to enter
Project,
Phase, and
Activity details when adding or editing
time, as these items have been pre-configured by administrators in Ajera.

| Project | This field only displays if the selected Type is Project. Select or enter a different project. |
| Phase Description | This field only displays if the selected Type is Project. Select or enter a different phase description. |
| Activity | This field only displays if the selected Type is Project. Select or enter a different activity. |
| Employee Type | This field only displays if the selected
Type is
Project. It defaults to your assigned employee
type but can be changed by tapping the field to open the
Employee Type screen.
Select a different employee type. Note: This field only
displays if your company has the
Allow Changes to Employee Type preference
enabled in Ajera.

| Regular Hours | Enter time in hours. |
| Regular Notes | You can enter additional information. |
| Overtime | Enter time in hours. |
| Overtime Notes | You can enter additional information. |
| Double Time | Enter time in hours. |
| Double Time Notes | You can enter additional information. |
| Other Time | Enter time in hours. |
| Other Time Notes | You can enter additional information. |
| Tax-Exempt Overtime | This checkbox is available for
Overtime,
Double Time, and
Other Time.
Select it to apply tax-exempt treatment to the overtime premium portion of those hours in line with 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act's (OBBBA) requirements. Hours flagged this way are automatically included in payroll calculations and IRS reporting, helping your organization stay compliant with federal guidance. |
