About multi-company

Review the existing reports, statements, and inquiries in Ajera to ensure that they provide the information your companies need.

If needed, you can change them so that they apply to all the companies in your organization. Or for each company, you may want to:

  • Create report views.
  • Set up financial statements.
  • Create custom inquiries.

Create report views

You can create report views that limit the information that appears and how it appears. For example, you may want project managers from Company 1 to view information only for Company 1, or you may want them to view only their projects.

In most reports, you can:

  • Restrict the information to a specific company.
  • Limit the information to the current user's company.
  • Sort by company.

For more information about options and views, see:

Set up financial statements

You can set up financial statements and statement groups so that they display combined financial information for all your companies or separate financial information for each company.

You can:

  • Filter a worksheet, column, or Amounts row in a financial statement by company. If you apply no filters, information for the organization appears.
  • Display the name, address, and logo of a company or the organization in a financial statement.
  • Set up a statement group that produces information about a specific company or about each company in your organization.

For more information, see:

Create custom inquiries

You can use Inquiry to view information about individual companies in your organization.

Many of the standard inquiries contain predefined columns for multi-company. For example, you can create a custom Employee inquiry that displays the company for each employee.
