Displaying inquiry data for a specific time period

In an inquiry, you can select to display only data that pertains to a specific time period. You can apply this restriction to either of the following:

  • Individual columns in the inquiry
  • All columns in the inquiry
Note:

When you apply a date range to a column and set a condition on an inquiry, any rows that don't meet both the date range and the condition do not appear.

For example, you set a condition on the Vendor Invoice inquiry that the invoice amount must be greater than $500. You then apply a date range of Range Prompt to the Invoice Amount column. Any invoices with amounts less than $500 and not within the range prompt entered are omitted.

Individual columns

For certain individual columns, you can restrict the data that appears by using the Column Properties window. In that window, you can assign one of the following to the column:

  • Cutoff date or date range

A cutoff date displays only information that occurs on or before a specified date. A date range displays only information for a specific date range.

  • Time period based on the current date or cutoff date

For more information about restricting data by time in a column, see Displaying data in a column for a specific time period.

All columns

For all the columns in an inquiry, you can restrict the data that appears by using the Inquiry Properties window. In that window, you can set a condition that controls what rows show in the inquiry. When you set a condition for the entire inquiry, Ajera uses it first, and then applies any conditions you set for columns.

For more information about restricting data by time in the entire inquiry, see Displaying data in an inquiry for a specific time period.
