Setup > Employees

These check boxes and fields in Setup > Employees are especially important in determining billing rates for the Labor activity type, if you are using markups in a billing rate table.
Pay Information tab > Pay Rates table
For this	Do this
Pay Period	Select the frequency that this employee will be paid.
Hourly Pay Rate	If the employee is paid on the basis of hours worked, select the Hourly check box and enter the hourly pay rate in the Pay Rate field.
Salary	If the employee is paid a salary, enter the amount paid each pay period.
Why these are significant: If you use markups, these determine the labor cost rate, which the billing rate table multiplies by the markup percent to determine the billing rate. Ajera then multiplies the billing rate by the time entered to the project to determine the billing amount.
