Copy a Boilerplate

You can copy and modify an existing boilerplate record to create a new record.

You typically copy an existing boilerplate when you want to re-purpose some, but not all, of its content. For example, if a firm has several business lines or practice areas, but you want to describe a specific one, you can copy an existing firm boilerplate and modify the name, description, and text fields to describe that different practice area or business line.

To copy a boilerplate:

1. In the Navigation pane, select Hubs > Boilerplates.
2. At the top of the Boilerplates form, enter a complete or partial name or number in the Find boilerplate lookup field to find and select the boilerplate that you want to copy.
3. On the Actions menu, click Copy.
4. Modify values in the Name, Description, and Text fields as needed.
5. Click Save.
