Copy a Boilerplate
You can copy and modify an existing boilerplate record to create a new record.
You typically copy an existing boilerplate when you want to re-purpose some, but not all, of its content. For example, if a firm has several business lines or practice areas, but you want to describe a specific one, you can copy an existing firm boilerplate and modify the name, description, and text fields to describe that different practice area or business line.
To copy a boilerplate:
- In the Navigation pane, select .
- At the top of the Boilerplates form, enter a complete or partial name or number in the Find boilerplate lookup field to find and select the boilerplate that you want to copy.
- On the Actions menu, click Copy.
- Modify values in the Name, Description, and Text fields as needed.
- Click Save.
