The Purchase Requisitions form refreshes to create a purchase requisition record with prefilled information from the source record, which includes vendor responses. Some details that are not copied are the following:
    • Documents attached in the source record
    • Record-specific information, such as the purchase requisition number, status, and requested details
  4. Complete the required fields on the General tab.
In the Line Items grid, insert a row in the grid, enter a line item, and repeat as needed for the items that you need to add to the purchase requisition.
  5. On the Shipping tab, select a ship-to code.
  6. On the Comments tab, enter additional information that can help you with the specifications of the item.
  7. On the Default Distribution tab, specify at least one project.
  8. On the Default Vendors tab, select the Need Price Quote checkbox to add vendors to the Default Vendors grid. Enter one or more suggested vendors.
  9. On the Actions bar, click Save.
Next Steps: On the Actions bar, click Submit and proceed with the approval of the purchase requisition record:
  • If you use approval workflows for approving purchase requisitions, send the purchase requisition to an approver. (You turn on the use of approval workflows for purchase requisitions on the General tab in Settings > Purchasing & Inventory > Company Settings.)
  • If you do not use approval workflows for approving purchase requisitions, change the purchase requisition status from In Progress to Approved.
