Reports

This item of the Deltek PM Compass hierarchy controls the entire Reports panel in PM Compass.

When you enable this item, all of its child items are also enabled by default. You can, however, define the permissions for each Reports menu item individually.

In addition, some of the parent items are not really securable options. PPM Administrator only uses them to group child items. For example, the Links menu item under Details View of Projects is only used to group the securable options on the Links tab, and does not indicate that you can disable the tab. Similarly, the Report Categories item of Reports is used to group various categories, and does not refer to a securable option. Thus, selecting either Enabled or Disabled does not have any effect.

The following items can be found within the Reports menu:
Print Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Print button to print selected reports.
Schedule Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Schedule button to display the Schedule dialog box.
Email Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Email button to display the Email Report dialog box.
Download Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Download button to display the Download <Report Name> dialog box, which allows you to save any PM Compass report as an Adobe PDF file, Rich Text Format (RTF) file, Microsoft Word file, or Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
Create Report Archive Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Create Report Archive button to display the Archive Report dialog box, which allows you to save a report temporarily.
Access Control Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Access Control tab of the Reports form to view and manage the Access Control grid.

Save/Delete/Rename Global Options Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Organize button to save, delete, or rename global options on the Organize Options dialog box.
Report Categories This item controls the following menu items:
  • Cost Analysis — Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Cost Analysis Reporting form to view, print, or send a report.
  • Item — Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Item Reporting form to view, print, or send an item form or a list of items with specified information.
  • Schedule — Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Schedule Reporting form.
  • Progress — Enabling this item allows users and group members assigned this role to use the Progress Reporting form.
