Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Using Help

The Open Plan Help system features two types of Help information: Help topics and procedures.

Help Topics

Help topics provide either general information or information about dialog boxes and forms.

  • General information: These topics provide overview and background information about an Open Plan feature.
  • Dialog boxes and forms: These topics contain a list of fields. Clicking a field name on the topic displays additional information that is specific to the field.

Procedures

These are topics that provide step-by-step information about how to perform a procedure in Open Plan. These topics remain visible while you work.

You can display the Open Plan Help by:

  • Pressing the F1 key
  • Clicking Help > Deltek Open Plan Help on the File menu
  • Clicking on the Quick Access Toolbar
