Send a Message to a User

Use this procedure to send a message to another user who is logged in to Open Plan.

To send a message to a user:

  1. On the File menu, click Share > Send Message.
  2. On the Users pane in the Send Message dialog box, select the recipient(s) of your message.
    Use CTRL+click or SHIFT+click to select more than one user or select All Users to send a message to all logged in users.
  3. Enter your message in the Message pane (maximum 250 characters) and click Send.
    Note: You cannot send a blank message or a message without a recipient.

    When the message is sent, a message box pops up on the recipient’s screen. The message box displays your user name and date/time the message was sent along with the message.
