Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Enable Editing of Read-Only Files

Use this procedure to enable users to edit Read-Only files and save to another name.

To enable users to edit Read-Only files and save to another name:

  1. From the File menu, select Preferences > Application.
  2. In the Options dialog box, select the Advanced tab.
  3. Click Defaults.
  4. In the System Preferences Defaults dialog box, scroll to the end of the grid.
  5. In the next available row in the grid, enter _ALLOW_EDIT_READONLY in the Category column.
  6. Enter 1 in the Default Value column to enable editing (enter 0 to disable).
  7. Click OK twice.
Note: This is a system option that affects all Open Plan users. Only users with administrator rights can set this option. This option cannot be overridden by individual Open Plan users.
