Supplemental Activity Information
In addition to early dates, late dates, and float, the time analysis function in Open Plan provides information about each activity in the project.
Here are the details of the additional activities:
- The computed remaining duration of the activity
- The computed status of the activity as
follows:
- Planned
- In-progress
- Complete
- A
flag for the following activity types:
- Start activity: An activity without predecessors
- Finish activity: An activity without successors
- Start/finish activity: A discontinuous activity that has successors only from its start and predecessors only from its finish
- One of the following indicators of
activity criticality:
- Not critical
- Critical: The total float is zero, meaning any delay in its start or finish will directly impact the project's completion date. True criticality depends on both start and finish float. If the activity has finish total float, it may still be completed later without delaying the overall project and therefore is not critical.
- Most critical: Total float equal to the smallest value for the entire project.
- Controlling critical: Has float due to its own calendar but causes a successor to be critical.
- Out of Sequence (OUTOFSEQ): A flag to indicate if the activity has been progressed out of sequence
