Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Set the Splash Screen

Use this procedure to set the Splash Screen.

To set the Splash Screen:

  1. On the File menu, click Preferences > Application.
  2. On the Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
  3. Click the Defaults button.
  4. Scroll to the end of the grid.
  5. In the Category column, enter the value _SPLASHSCREENENABLE.
  6. In the Default Value column, enter the desired numeric value.
  7. Click OK to dismiss the System Preferences Defaults dialog box.
  8. Click OK to dismiss the Options dialog box.
