Open Plan Import Wizard Project Page

Use this page to select the Open Plan backup file to be imported.

Update Existing Project

Use this field to select an existing Open Plan project to update. It displays all existing projects to which you have access. The projects are sorted by project ID.

When performing an update:
  • You can select only one existing project to update.
  • You cannot change the calendar or resource or re-assign a code at an existing code index.
  • Open Plan adds new calendars and resources but does not update existing calendar and resource records during an import update. It updates only mapped fields on resources.

Project Options

Use this field to select a saved set of options for a specific project. Project options define the path to the Open Plan backup file that is imported. The previously saved imported project backup file is displayed.

Note: By default, <No Selection> displays.

Group Options

Use this field to select a saved group option set. The list includes all group options to which you have access. Group options include settings that can be used across various projects, such as field mappings.

Note: Previously saved options are displayed. By default, <No Selection> displays.

Select Projects

When you click this button, select the BK3 file you want to import from, then the Import Open Plan Backup File dialog box displays, which allows you to select the project file(s) to process.

  • If you are updating an existing project, you can select only one project to import.
  • If you are creating a new project, you can select more than one.

Select Baselines

Click on a project being imported, then click this button if you want to select available baseline(s) to import. Selecting this button displays the Select Baselines for <Project> dialog box.

You can select one or more baselines from the BK3 file to be created or updated in the Open Plan project.

Note: The Next button becomes enabled only when you select at least one project to import.
