Open Plan Import Options Page
The Options page displays different options, depending on whether you choose to import into a new Open Plan project or update an existing Open Plan file.
Group Options
Update Project Status Only
This option is enabled only if you are updating an existing project.
- Adds activities (from the backup) that do not exist in the existing project, including all standard and user-defined fields and codes that have been mapped.
- Updates existing
activities for any mapped fields and only for the following standard fields:
- ASDATE (Actual Start Date)
- AFDATE (Actual Finish Date)
- PPC (Physical Percent Complete)
- TSDATE (Target Start Date)
- TFDATE (Target Finish Date)
- TARGSTYPE (Target Start Type)
- TARGFTYPE (Target Finish Type)
- XFDATE (Expected Finish Date)
- (Applies to either full update or the Update Project Status Only mode) Checks for a single existing record that matches a combined key for an activity-related collection in the existing project and updates the existing record if it finds a single match. If Open Plan finds multiple matches, it displays a warning message and creates a new record.
- Adds a new record instead of updating an existing record if it cannot find a unique existing record with the key combination that it finds in the backup data.
Field Mapping
Click this button to open the Open Plan Backup to Open Plan Mapping dialog box where you can add, modify, or delete field mappings.
Update Baselines
This option is only enabled if you are updating an existing project with baselines.
Do not import Interproject Relationships if these exist
Select this option if you do not want to include IRLs in the import project.
Logging Level
This option allows you to choose the logging of errors, errors and warnings, or all messages.
Share Resource File
Select this option to share an existing Calendar file. If selected, the ellipsis is enabled allowing you to select which calendar file to share. Open Plan opens shared calendar files in Shared mode during the import.
When creating a new project via the import process, Open Plan uses this calendar file. If the import file contains calendars that are not in the shared calendar file, Open Plan adds them.
Share Resource File
Select this option to share an existing Resource file. If selected, the ellipsis is enabled allowing you to select which resource file to share. Open Plan opens shared resource files in Shared mode during the import.
When creating a new project via the import process, Open Plan uses this resource file. If the import file contains resources that are not in the shared resource file, Open Plan adds them.
