Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Log On to Open Plan

Use this procedure to log on to Open Plan.

Note: The system administrator sets up user IDs and passwords using PPM Administrator. If the administrator opts to use Windows NT authentication, you can log onto Open Plan without using the login dialog box.

To log on to Open Plan:

  1. Click the Start menu, and locate Deltek Open Plan 8.x.
  2. In the Open Plan Login dialog box, select one of the following actions:
    • If you are logged in to Windows with your network login credentials and you want to log in to Open Plan using Windows Authentication, select the Windows Authentication option.
    • If you are not using Windows Authentication, enter your user ID and password in the corresponding fields. Open Plan remembers the user ID from your last login and automatically enters that user ID. If this user ID is not the one you wish to use, delete it and enter the proper one
  3. In the Data Source drop-down list, select the database connection to use when you log on to Open Plan.
    The drop down list displays all data sources defined in the Open Plan Data Tool.
  4. If you want Open Plan to open your briefcasing data source instead of your main data source, select Use Briefcasing Data Source.
  5. Click Login.
