Enter Progress Information in the Spreadsheet View

Use this procedure to enter progress information in spreadsheet view.

To enter activity progress information in a spreadsheet view:

  1. Assign the Progress Spreadsheet view to your project by dragging the Progress Spreadsheet file from the Views folder in the Open Plan Library onto your project.
  2. Open the Progress Spreadsheet view of your project.
  3. For each activity for which you want to enter progress information, enter actuals data using the following columns:
    • Actual Start: Date on which an activity was started.
    • Actual Finish: Date on which an activity was completed.
    • Progress Type: You can select from the following progress types:
      • Complete
      • Elapsed Duration
      • Percent Complete
      • Planned
      • Remaining Duration

      The value you select in this field determines how Open Plan interprets the Progress Value.

    • Progress Value: The value you enter in this field depends on your selection in the Progress Type column:
      • If you have selected either Complete or Planned in the Progress Type column, leave this field blank.
      • If you have selected Elapsed Duration, Percent Complete, or Remaining Duration in the Progress Type column, enter the appropriate value in this field.
