Define a Date Scale Using Autoscaling

Use this procedure to define a date scale using automatic scaling.

To define a date scale using automatic scaling:

1. In the Project Views folder of Open Plan Explorer, display a project in barchart, multitable barchart, or histogram view.
2. Take one of the following actions:
   • On the View tab, click Date Scale.
   • Right-click the date scale or the histogram portion of the view, and click Edit Date Scale on the context menu.
3. On the Options tab of the Date Scale Preferences dialog box, click Manual.
4. On Manual tab, specify the number of axes you want to display in the date scale using the # of Axes field, and click Autoscaling.
5. In the Automatic Scaling dialog box, select a date range for the operation in the Options field, and click OK.
   If you select Custom in the Options field, you must enter a start and end date for the interval.
6. When your changes are complete, click OK.
