Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the System Preferences Defaults Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to configure the System Preferences Defaults dialog box.

This dialog box features a grid with the following columns:

Field Description
Category

The entries that you make in this column are displayed as entries in the Categories list on the Advanced tab of the Options dialog box.

Value

This column controls the initial value that you assign to the category.

Note: To review the list and description of the standard Open Plan options that are available for use in this grid, see Standard Open Plan Options.

The entries that you make in this dialog box are stored in the System Preferences Default table. To remove a category from this table, delete its value in the grid and click OK (Replacing the value with a space does not remove the value. You must select the value and press the DELETE key).

In previous versions of Open Plan, the settings on this tab of the Options dialog box were set by entries in the INI file.
