Field Description
Search For

Use this field to select the type of object you want to find. You can select <All Objects> if you want Open Plan to perform a complete search of all of the object types (calendars, resources, codes, views, and so on) available.

Named

The use of this field is optional. If you enter the name of the object that you want to find, Open Plan locates all the objects that match or begin with the name you entered. For example, if you search for a project named CLEAN, Open Plan will find all the projects that begin with the name CLEAN, such as CLEANUP, CLEANROOM, and so on. If you do not know the entire name of the object you want to locate, you can enter the first few letters of the name.

When you enter only the first few letters of the name, Open Plan does not search for text embedded within the name. For example, if you enter LEAN, Open Plan will not find CLEAN.

Where

The use of this field is optional. Use the three Where fields to apply a filter to a search criteria.

  • The first field contains a list of data fields based on the type of object you selected in the Search For field.
  • The second field contains a list of the following logical operators that you can use to further define the filter:
    • Equal to
    • Greater than
    • Less than
    • Not equal to
  • The third field enables you to enter a value to compare against.

These fields are not available when <All Objects> is selected in the Search For field.

Look In

Select the folder where Open Plan can start the search. By default, the selected folder in the hierarchical pane displays in this field. You can also select <All Folders>, My Folder, Projects, and Open Plan Library from the list.

Open Plan facilitates your search by displaying any subfolders that are open during the session. Because the Find and Replace dialog box is modeless, you can use the Look In field to select the folder to search from the hierarchical pane while the dialog box is open.

Include Subfolders

Select this option if you want Open Plan to search all the subfolders for the folder you selected in the Look In field.
