Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Data Tool Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to configure the Data Tool dialog box.

Field Description
Target DSN

Click to select a target data source from the list of data sources that have been set up.

You can click the ellipsis to display the Data Sources dialog box where you can manage the list of available data sources. Selecting a data source enables the Create Data option.

Install Default Data

Select this option if you want the Data Tool to populate the selected Target DSN with Open Plan default data. Default data includes the following:

  • Data dictionary
  • Security data
  • System library
  • Explorer folders
  • Spread curves
  • Views
  • Title blocks
  • Symbols
  • Other product-specific default data

In addition to installing the default data, the tool also copies the demonstration projects and their ancillary files and views to the target data source.

Remove Existing Data

Select this option if you want the Data Tool to delete all the data from the selected data source.

Install Demonstration Data

This option is enabled only when the Remove Existing Data option is selected. Select this option if you want the Data Tool to populate the selected target data source with the demonstration projects and their associated ancillary files and views.

Create Data

Click to populate the target data source according to the options you specified.

Password

Click to display the Change Password dialog box where you can change your password for the Open Plan Data Tool.

Close

Click to close the dialog box without making any changes.

Help

Click to display the dialog box help topic.
