  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Data Sources Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to configure the Data Sources dialog box.

Field Description
Data Sources

This displays a list of data sources to which you can connect.

Add

Click this button to display the tabbed Windows Data Link Properties dialog box that you can use to configure a data source and add it to the list displayed in the Data Sources dialog box.

Edit

Select a data source from the list and click this button to display the Edit Data Source dialog box that you can use to modify settings for the selected data source.

A button on this dialog box also provides access to the Windows Data Link Properties dialog box. You can change any of the properties that you wish. However, if you are currently connected to the data source that you are modifying, your changes will not take effect until the next time you start Open Plan.

The Connection tab on the Windows Data Link Properties dialog box has an Allow saving password option. Select this option to encrypt both the User ID and password and pass this information to the Security Administrator. If you do not select this option, you will be prompted to log in to a data source when you start the Data Tool.

Delete

Click this button to delete the currently selected data source.
