Use the fields and options to configure the Cost Calculations dialog box.

Field	Description
Budget Cost	This option controls whether Open Plan should calculate the budgeted costs for the resources assigned to each activity in the project. When this option is selected, Open Plan populates the following fields on the activity table: Activity Budget Cost: BAC Labor Budget Cost: BAC_LAB Material Budget Cost: BAC_MAT Subcontractors Budget Costs: BAC_SUB Other Direct Costs Budget Costs: BAC_ODC Labor Budget Quantity: BAC_QTY
Based On Dates	If you select Budget Cost or Remaining Cost, you can also select whether calculations should be based on early dates, late dates, or scheduled dates.
Remaining Cost	This option controls whether Open Plan should calculate the remaining costs for resources that are assigned to each progressed activity in the project. Open Plan calculates remaining costs for only those resources that have the Progress Based on Activity Progress option selected in the Resource Details dialog box. When this option is selected, Open Plan populates the following fields on the activity table: Labor Remaining Cost: ETC_LAB Material Remaining Cost: ETC_MAT Subcontractors Remaining Costs: ETC_SUB Other Direct Costs Remaining Costs: ETC_ODC Labor Remaining Quantity: ETC_QTY
Actual Cost	This option controls whether Open Plan should calculate the actual costs for resources that are assigned to each progressed activity in the project. Open Plan calculates actual costs for only those resources that have the Actual Cost Based on Progressed Quantity option selected in the Resource Details dialog box. When this option is selected, Open Plan populates the following fields on the activity table: Labor Actual Cost: ACWP_LAB Material Actual Cost: ACWP_MAT Subcontractors Actual Costs: ACWP_SUB Other Direct Costs Actual Costs: ACWP_ODC Labor Actual Quantity: ACWP_QTY
Earned Value (BCWP and BCWS)	A cost control that allows you to quantify the overall progress of the project in monetary terms. Earned value is calculated by multiplying the physical percent complete by the planned cost. Another term for earned value is budgeted cost of work performed (BCWP).
Use Resource Cost Escalation	This option controls whether Open Plan should use escalated or unescalated resource costs when calculating costs. If selected, this option instructs Open Plan to use escalated resource costs when calculating project costs. If cleared, this option instructs Open Plan to use unescalated resource costs when calculating project costs.
Include Child Activity Values in Subproject Costs	This option controls whether Open Plan should roll child activity costs up to the subproject level: If selected, this option instructs Open Plan to roll up the child activity costs. This is the default setting. If cleared, this option instructs Open Plan to not roll up child activity costs.
Time Analyze Before Cost Calculation	When this option is selected, Open Plan performs Time Analysis before calculating costs.
