This box displays a list of the projects that are available for check out. You can use SHIFT+click or CTRL+click to select multiple projects. |
| Check Out in Main Data Source |
Select this option to lock the project in the Main data source so that no other user can modify it until it is checked back in. |
| Check Out to Briefcase Data Source |
Select this option if you want Open Plan to copy the project and all its ancillary files to your Briefcase data source. Checking out a project this way enables you to work on your project on another computer. If the project was previously checked out to your Briefcase data source, checking it out again overwrites the data in the Briefcase. You can prevent this by clicking No or No to All on the alert that asks whether you want to overwrite the data in the Briefcase data source. This cancels the check out action. The copy of the project that remains in the Main data source is locked so that no other user can modify it. When you check the project back in, Open Plan copies the project back to the Main data source and unlocks it. |
| Check Out Views with Project |
This option is enabled only when you select the Check Out to Briefcase Data Source option. The first time that you check out a project, you should also check out the views with the project. After the views are stored in your Briefcase data source, you can use them again the next time that you check the project out. |
