| Field | Description |
| Do Not Show Relationships
|
Select this option not to hide all relationships.
|
| Show Relationships
|
Select this option to instruct to display only those relationships external to the bar, if a bar represents a summary of activities.
|
| Show Whole Relationships Only
|
Select this option to display relationships only if both the successor and predecessor are currently displayed in the view.
|
| Options
|
If you select either
Show Relationships or
Show Whole Relationships Only, Open Plan offers the following additional options:
- Show Controlling Relationships Only: Whether the barchart should display only controlling relationships.
- Highlight Controlling Relationships: Whether a barchart view should highlight controlling relationships (that is, relationships with zero free float). If enabled, controlling relationships are displayed based on the color of the first instance of the key bar.
Attention: For more information about controlling relationships, see "Time Analysis Calculations" in the
Deltek Open Plan Developer's Guide.
In addition, you can specify the style of the relationship lines:
- Direct: Open Plan draws the relationship lines as straight lines between the predecessor and successor activities.
- Routed: Open Plan draws the relationship lines in a series of horizontal and vertical segments.
Note: To print the relationship lines on a barchart, you must select either
Show Relationships or
Show Whole Relationships Only. While you can still display relationship lines with the
Do Not Show Relationships option selected (by clicking the
Relationships button
on the
View tab), doing so will not print the relationship lines.

| Time Now
|
Select this option to enable the following fields:
- Color: Use this field to set the color of the Time Now line and any label text.
- Line Thickness: Use this field to specify the thickness of the Time Now line measured in pixels. Because pixel size is dependent on monitor resolution, the apparent width of the Time Now line that is displayed on your monitor depends on your resolution settings.
- Label: Use this field to specify the text to be printed next to the Time Now line. You can include both literal text and any project-level field. For example, assuming that your Time Now date is April 19, 2002, you can enter the following:
"Time Now- " + str(Statdate) to have the Time Now label read Time Now 19 April 2002.
Literal text must always be entered within quotation marks (""). Statdate is the field name for Time Now.
The date is displayed using the Default Date Format setting on the Preferences tab of the
Project Properties dialog box. Also, literal text must always be entered within quotation marks (""). Statdate is the field name for Time Now.

| Non-Work Periods
|
If you select Shade Non-work, Open Plan enables the following fields:
- Color: Use this field to set the color of the shade non-work periods.
- Using Calendar: Use this field to specify the calendar that Open Plan should use when determining whether a particular time period should be shaded. If you do not select a calendar in this field, Open Plan uses the project default activity calendar.
You may need to change your date scale to show the appropriate work periods. For example, in order for a non-work week to be identified, the smallest level on the date scale must be no greater than weeks. Similarly, in order for non-work days, such as weekends, to be identified, the smallest level on the date scale must be no greater than days.
Note: Clicking the down arrow at the right edge of the Color fields displays a Color dialog box that you can use to select a color. The Color dialog box offers a choice of 70 standard colors. You can define custom colors using an enhanced version of the Color dialog box accessed from the Color tab of the Options dialog box.
