Corporate Settings Subtask

Use this subtask to select contract management settings options that apply to all companies in your database.

Make these selections when you initialize Costpoint Capture & Contracts domain.

Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI)

Use this group box to configure settings for OCI IDs and records.

Field Description
Auto-Assign Organization Conflict of Interest (OCI) IDs Select this check box to have Costpoint automatically assign an ID to any new OCI record.
Last OCI ID

Enter the last OCI ID used. You must enter a value in this field if you select the Auto-Assign Organization Conflict of Interest (OCI) IDs check box. This field defines the starting point for Costpoint-generated OCI IDs. Costpoint uses this field to automatically number all OCI IDs.

You can use a combination of alphabetic characters and numbers for OCI IDs, but Costpoint increments only the rightmost numeric value. Make sure you enter enough numeric digits at the end of the ID as this determines the number of OCI IDs that Costpoint can generate/increment. You can enter up to 15 numeric digits in this field.

Allow edit of OCI records after entry of OCI Clear Review Date Select this check box to allow the editing of OCI records even after an OCI clear review date has been entered on the Manage Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) screen.

Prospects

Use this group box to configure settings for customer and vendor prospect IDs.

Field Description
Auto-Assign Customer Prospect IDs

Select this check box to have Costpoint automatically assign an ID to any new customer prospect record.

Prospective customer information is set up on the Manage Contract Management Customer Info screen.

Last Customer Prospect ID

Enter the last customer prospect ID used. You must enter a value in this field if you select the Auto-Assign Customer Prospect IDs check box. This field defines the starting point for Costpoint-generated customer prospect IDs. Costpoint uses this field to automatically number all customer prospect IDs.

You can use a combination of alphabetic characters and numbers for customer prospect IDs, but Costpoint increments only the rightmost numeric value. Make sure you enter enough numeric digits at the end of the ID as this determines the number of customer prospect IDs that Costpoint can generate/increment. Competitors

Use this group box to configure settings for competitor IDs.

Select this check box to have Costpoint automatically assign an ID to any new competitor record.

Competitor information is set up on the Manage Competitors screen.

Leads / Contacts

Use this group box to configure settings for lead/contact IDs.

Field Description
Auto-Assign Lead/Contact IDs

Select this check box to have Costpoint automatically assign an ID to any new lead/contact record.

Lead/contact information is set up on the Manage Leads and Contacts screen.

Last Lead/Contact ID

Enter the last lead/contact ID used. You must enter a value in this field if you select the Auto-Assign Lead/Contact IDs check box. This field defines the starting point for Costpoint-generated lead/contact IDs. Costpoint uses this field to automatically number all lead/contact IDs.

GovWin IQ Integration

Use this group box to adjust the GovWin IQ login account setting for GovWin IQ Integration.

Field Description
Allow any GovWin IQ login Account to run Import GovWin IQ Data for all login Accounts/companies Select this check box to allow any GovWin IQ login account to run the Import GovWin IQ Data process for all login accounts/companies. When you select this check box, the Current Account and All Accounts options on the Import GovWin IQ Data screen becomes available for selection. Otherwise, only the Current Account option is available and selected by default, and All Accounts is disabled.

Labor Category Options

Use this group box to specify how Costpoint should handle labor categories once resources have been assigned to them on the Manage Opportunities or Manage Contracts screen.

Field Description
Do not allow changes once resources are assigned If you select this option, no changes to the opportunity or contract labor category will be allowed. When the user attempts to make changes to the labor category, Costpoint displays an error message indicating that a potential resource already exists for the labor category.
Allow changes once resources are assigned If you select this option, any changes to the opportunity or contract labor category will be allowed. Costpoint does not display any message, unless you select the Provide Warning check box.
Provide Warning This check box is enabled only if you selected Allow changes once resources are assigned. If you select this check box, Costpoint displays a warning message when the user makes changes to the opportunity or contract labor category, but the user will still be able to save the changes.
Note: If no potential resources have been defined for the opportunity or contract labor category, any changes can be made to the labor category and Costpoint will not display any error/warning message.
